This was my final project for the course I took through ELVTR in Technical Art for Unreal, taught by Aaron Aikman and Evan Edwards.
My goal was to develop a stylized toon shader with procedural cross hatching, somewhat in the style of Breath of the wild.
I used Gooch style shading as the basis, creating a smooth gradient between colors and a feeling of indirect lighting, as opposed to Lambertian style shading which falls off to black in the shadows.
